Why a website?
Community living has significantly evolved with the rise of flat complexes. The traditional family connections are gone, neighbours are our new family – sharing amenities like gyms, pools, and communal gardens.
We need to make it a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive environment. The key to this is to design ways to foster connections, promote well-being, and provide a sense of belonging.
This is where technology comes in to help build a sense of belonging and encourage social interactions. It will help create a network where neighbours look out for one another, share resources, and build friendships.
How will a website help?
Creating a website is a great way to improve communication, foster community, and streamline management tasks. Here’s a list of features and sections you might want to include:
Announcements & Useful Information
- Announcements – waste management, pets guidelines, access control, visitor rules etc.
- Useful info – public transport, shopping, and dining options.
- Maintenance updates, events, or emergencies.
- Contact Directory – local business directory. Emergency contacts.
.
Community & Events
- Upcoming social events, meetings, or classes.
- Booking System – clubhouse, gym, halls etc.
- Community News: Resident spotlights, newsletters etc.
Communication Tools
- Message Board/Forum.
- Feedback & Suggestions.
- Resident Directory.
- Payment Portal: Rent, utilities etc.
- Incident Reporting- for noise complaints, security issues, etc. Buy/Sell board..
How does it work?
We provide a pre-built site (as shown in the sample site below). We can then work with the Residents association personnel to include content place holders. They can then themselves fill in the appropriate content which they can update as and when they require. No IT knowledge is needed to maintain the site. We are there to help them when needed.
Visit the sample site
We have built a site for an imaginary flat community called ‘Sample’ to show you how it may look. Please note the pages are all customisable and can be constructed to your needs.
